Due to its roller structure and four-way high rigidity characteristics, installation precision directly impacts performance for the RG Series. The core process is as follows:

 

Pre-Installation Preparation

  • Installation Surface Preparation: Remove oil and burrs, grind to a roughness ≤ Ra3.2μm; inspect flatness (single rail ≤ 0.02mm/m, parallel height difference for multiple rails ≤ 0.01mm).
  • Product Verification: Inspect guide rail/slider appearance (smooth rollers, no scratches). Prepare accessories including bolts (minimum grade 8.8) and lithium-based grease.

 

Core Installation Steps

  • Guide Rail Fixing: Align reference edge with installation line. Pre-tighten end bolts (50% torque). After verifying straightness ≤0.01mm/m with dial indicator, tighten bolts from center to ends.
  • Slider Installation: Clean and apply grease, then smoothly insert into guide rail. For multiple sliders, use positioning rods to calibrate spacing and symmetrically tighten connecting bolts.
  • Preload Adjustment: Select rollers or adjust clearance based on light/medium/heavy preload requirements. Push slider to confirm uniform resistance without stuttering.

 

Post-Installation Adjustment & Protection

  • Lubrication & Dust Protection: Fill roller channels with grease (test seals for automatic lubrication); install dust caps; add bellows covers in dusty environments.
  • Testing:

No-load reciprocation: 10-20 cycles (no noise, uniform resistance)

80% rated load operation: 30 minutes, temperature ≤40°C, precision within tolerance.

 

Special Installation Considerations

  • Parallel Multiple Rails: Install reference rail first. Use laser interferometer to verify follower rail parallelism ≤0.005mm/m. Add intermediate supports for large spacing.
  • Vertical/Inclined Installation: Install lower limit block vertically. For inclines >30°, install anti-fall device. Relubricate every 10 hours.

Daily Maintenance

Replenish lithium-based grease every 100-500 operating hours (shorter intervals in dusty/humid environments), filling the roller channels completely. Daily: Wipe dust from guide rails. Weekly: Inspect dust seals for integrity and clean debris from bellows covers (in dusty conditions).

Condition Monitoring

Before startup, push the slide block to check resistance (no stuttering or abnormal noise). During operation, monitor vibration and noise. Monthly, measure guide rail straightness (≤0.01mm/m). Quarterly, retighten bolts (per manual torque).

Fault Handling

For stuttering, first remove dust and replenish grease; if ineffective, replace worn rollers and grind guide rail scratches (roughness ≤ Ra3.2μm). For precision loss, calibrate guide rails; if preload fails, replace rollers with original grade.

Long-Term Maintenance

Annually disassemble slides to clean raceways and replace dust seals. Replace guides when wear exceeds 0.02mm or hardness falls below HRC58. Store idle guides coated with rust-preventive oil in vacuum-sealed containers at 5-30°C with humidity ≤60%.

Q: Our workshop environment is relatively harsh, temperature changes, and oil, roller guide can work normally?

A: Yes. This roller guide is made of special material, which can adapt to a wide range of temperature changes, and will not affect the performance due to thermal expansion and contraction. At the same time, the surface after anti-oil treatment, oil is not easy to adhere to, even in your workshop in such an environment, but also stable operation, to ensure the normal production of equipment.
