Coupling maintenance mainly includes regular inspection, cleaning, lubrication and replacement of worn parts.
● Regular inspection and cleaning
Regular inspection of elastomer components: The core of the coupling is the elastomer component, which is responsible for absorbing shock and vibration. It is recommended to check it every 6 to 12 months to confirm whether the elastomer is cracked, hardened or significantly worn.
Clean the coupling and surrounding areas: In a dusty or oily environment, regularly clean the coupling and surrounding parts area to ensure that there is no dust and debris to improve operating efficiency and extend the service life of the elastomer.
Lubrication and replacement of worn parts Lubrication: For couplings that require lubrication, regularly check and replace the lubricant. Most couplings are replaced with lubricants once a year, but in harsh environments or special working conditions, they may need to be replaced more frequently. Replace the elastomer component: If the elastomer is found to be severely worn or loses its elasticity, it should be replaced in time. The replacement method is simple. Just disassemble the coupling cover, remove and install the new elastomer.
● Maintenance precautions
Inspection before installation: Before installation, thoroughly clean both ends of the coupling, check the key slots and other matching conditions of the end faces, and tighten the screws after ensuring that they are correct, and there should be no looseness.
Operation monitoring: After completing maintenance or replacement, start the equipment and observe the operation of the coupling to ensure that there is no abnormal noise and vibration. If there is any abnormality, it may be necessary to recheck the installation and tightening or replace the parts.
