Structure analysis of linear guide
Linear guide through the rolling body to achieve low-friction linear motion, the core consists of four parts:

Guide body is the bearing foundation, commonly used hardened steel made of rectangular cross-section (heavy load), V-shaped (high-precision guidance), dovetailed (compact anti-dumping) and other forms of surface hardness to wear-resistant.
The slider connects the moving parts, divided into open type (unidirectional force) and closed type (anti-subversion moment), with built-in mounting groove for the rolling body, which is fixed on the working table by bolts.
Rolling body is the key transmission element, ball is point contact, low friction, high precision, suitable for light load precision scenarios;
roller/needle is line contact, stronger load carrying capacity, needle roller is used in heavy load scenarios with space limitation due to its compact structure.
Circulation system guides the rolling body to complete the closed cycle to realize infinite travel -- the inner cycle is carried out inside the slider, which is quiet and rigid, suitable for high-speed precision equipment; the outer cycle is guided by the tube or end cap, which is load-bearing, easy to maintain, and is suitable for heavy-duty machinery.
In addition, pre-tensioning technology (e.g. double nut misalignment) enhances stiffness and eliminates clearance, lubrication system (oil or grease) guarantees low wear, and the straightness and parallelism of the guideway need to be controlled during installation to ensure accuracy.
